Sarah and Michael’s Skylands Manor wedding on July 23rd was an epic day with gorgeous summer weather, a beautiful venue, and one of the best couples we’ve ever had the chance to meet. Someone on the guest list must have bribed mother nature because the forecast called for a humid, 97-degree day but the weather broke about 20 minutes before the ceremony and we ended up with absolutely perfect conditions. The day started with Sarah at David Ezra Salon, who do absolutely stunning hair and makeup. Here’s the soon-to-be bride!
Sarah finished getting ready in Skylands’ bridal suite.
While Sarah was upstairs putting on finishing touches, Michael and his buddies were downstairs in the library hanging out and getting prepped.
The couple, ready to go, with their proud parents!
Ceremony time! Sarah’s dad walked her down the aisle of a gorgeously decorated tent on the Skylands grounds.
Officially husband and wife!
After the ceremony, we stole the couple away for a few shots in the amazing state-owned land around Skylands.
Two families become one. Both families were so fun, relaxed, and welcoming that we felt like we just there to celebrate with everyone.
The reception hall was breathtaking and full of vibrant colors, warm lighting, and a beautiful painted ceiling.
As night fell, we stole Sarah and Michael away for a shot in front of a tiny stone house on the grounds of the state park.
Sarah and Michael choreographed and practiced their first dance. There were some nerves, but they knocked it out of the park!
Sarah’s sister, Michael’s brother, and Sarah’s father gave heartwearming toasts that had everyone alternating between tears and laughter.
Time to cut the cake! Their flower girl wanted to make sure she was part of it.
The flowing girl found an air conditioning vent in the floor and hammed it up for the camera.
Sarah and Michael – you guys are amazing. From the initial planning, to our engagement session in Hoboken, to last Saturday, you’ve been nothing short of fantastic. We absolutely loved getting to know you and we felt so welcome and at-ease all throughout your big day. We hope you’re having a blast in Antigua – you certainly deserve it – and can’t wait to see what your life together has in store. Congratulations again!
