It was a real honor for us to be asked to photograph my nephew Zachary’s Bar Mitzvah at Temple Israel in Westport, Connecticut. We had also photographed his big brother Ethan’s Bar Mitzvah a little over a year ago. The family is absolutely wonderful and it was a real pleasure to document this special day for their youngest son.

Zachary did a wonderful job during the service. We were not allowed to take photos during the bulk of the service but did manage to take this after Zachary completed his readings from the Torah as well as his own moving speech on discrimination.

At night, there was a party to celebrate at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich Connecticut. The party was run by Nicholson Events who also did Ethan’s party. Once again, they did an amazing job making sure all the guests were having a great time.

We want to wrap up this blog by extending a hearty thanks to Zachary and his family for selecting us to photograph this special day for them. Zachary, you have really grown up to be a very intelligent and good hearted young man. You are also a ton of fun and you always keep this uncle on his toes. Mazel Tov to you and your family!

We were so honored when proud parents Will and Lee asked us to photograph their new adorable baby Liam. When we did this newborn session Liam was nearly a month old. Once he fell asleep, we started taking photos of this beautiful baby. In addition to Liam, we took photos of the entire family, including their adorable older daughter, Lori.

After we finished taking photos of Liam, Lori took center stage. She is such a cute, well behaved girl and a total natural in front of the camera!

The remainder of the session was for various photos of the family.

Will and Lee, thank you for choosing us to photograph your precious new addition to the world.  Liam is absolutely adorable and Lori is already well on her way to being a loving big sister. Congratulations to you both!

When Stephen came to us and said he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Katie, we could not have been more excited. A Central Park proposal with gorgeous fall foliage? Yes, please! They have been dating for over four years and we met them in 2015 at Lauren and Michael’s wedding (Stephen was Michael’s best man) and saw them again at Elizabeth and Kevin’s wedding a few months later!

Stephen told Katie they were going to see the opera (the perfect excuse to dress up!) and told her they were meeting his sister for dinner first and that they had to walk through the park. That little fib worked perfectly, so Katie never questioned why they were meandering through Central Park on a rainy, 50-degree day in October! We were camped out by the spot Stephen had chosen trying to blend in (not so easy to do with a big tripod and a huge lens) and waited for them to come through the park. Thankfully, the rain held off and the spot we’d be using was totally deserted. Stephen and Katie walked to the edge of the water (where he cleverly found an excuse to take her bag and umbrella from her to make sure her hands were free) and then knelt to ask the girl of his dreams to be his wife. To say that Katie was shocked would be a huge understatement – you’ll see it all over her face in these images – and we could not have asked for a more joyous moment!

When Stephen got down on one knee, Katie couldn’t quite fathom what was happening. You can see her initial reaction – disbelief and shock – in the first few images below.

While Stephen was kneeling, a few passerby had stopped. Katie immediately said yes and the couple shared a kiss to a round of applause before Stephen pointed us out to Katie who recognized us once we put our cameras down.

We spent a little while with Stephen and Katie walking through Central Park.  These two were rocking it with the outfits and color choices!

You can’t go to Central Park and not take some photos on the Bow Bridge!

Congratulations again, Stephen and Katie! It was an absolute honor to be there on Saturday to share in that amazing moment with you. We hope you guys had a great night at dinner and with your friends. We are so happy for you!
